I'm always drawn to pieces that are white or neutral. After all, that IS the Belgian style of decorating. I love mirrors, lamps, industrial furniture and architectural artifacts and seek them out when I'm on antique hunting excursions in Belgium. I love Antwerp for inspiration but bargains are few and far between in the big cities. The small fairs and rommel markets are where the fabulous finds are to be found. Just make sure you bring your flashlight and begin around 3:00 am.
Everything is so beautiful! That mirror is fantastic!...Christine

ReplyDeleteHi Kristen, so glad you stopped by and hope you will visit often. Love all your pieces and your blog white x white. I love the white pieces of furniture but have inherited tall dark cupboards and love to use them too. I like the mix of dark and lights together. The other day I found an industrial mannequin. At least that is what I am calling it. It was actually an old farm grain shoot but turned upside down it looked exactly like a zinc mannequin. I didn't buy it but plan on going back tomorrow to see if it's still there. The owner never realized it looked like a mannequin. When I pointed it out he "dressed" her in an old negligee that was in the shop...too funny. Hope it's still there when I go back tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteP.s. Now following you. :) Have a great weekend.
